MoTeC M150 Plug-In ECU Kit for Nissan R35 GT-R – Datasheet & Install Guide

Precision Performance And Coatings

The MoTeC M150 plug-in ECU kit is a fully programmable replacement for the factory engine ECU on the Nissan R35 GT-R. It plugs into the stock wiring harness through an adaptor box, using the original sensors and fuel system, with no rewiring. Factory functions such as the dash, VDC traction control and transmission keep working. For racing and off-road use only.

Highlights

  • Integrates with the stock VDC traction control and transmission systems
  • Torque-based control of boost, launch and limiting, via throttle and ignition
  • Launch control that can build boost before launch, helpful with large turbos
  • Closed-loop lambda control per bank, and per-cylinder knock control
  • Map switching for boost, rev limit, fuel mixture, timing and throttle pedal response
  • Onboard data logging with analysis in MoTeC i2
  • Breakout connector for added sensors such as EGTs and GPS

Kit Part Numbers

Kit Part Number
Right-hand drive (RHD) 11501 (includes adaptor kit 61245)
Left-hand drive (LHD) – US cars 11502 (includes adaptor kit 61249)

Both kits include the M150 ECU, R35 adaptor box and breakout loom, stub looms, an Ethernet cable, a dual NTK lambda-to-CAN module with two NTK wideband sensors and extension looms, an air temperature sensor, and Dual Lock mounting strips.

Install Overview

  1. Remove the battery, then remove the glovebox to reach the factory ECU.
  2. Unplug and remove the factory ECU, keeping its four M6 flange nuts.
  3. Route the breakout loom's air temp, lambda and fuel pressure leads through the firewall.
  4. Replace the factory O2 sensors with the supplied NTK wideband sensors.
  5. Install the supplied air temperature sensor, ideally in the intake manifold.
  6. Plug the stub looms into the M150 and mount it. On LHD cars it sits behind the original ECU mounting plate.
  7. Mount the adaptor box on the factory ECU studs and reconnect the factory harness.
  8. Load the correct package file for your car's model year and sensor setup using M1 Tune.
