Coolant pressure monitoring is a key protection strategy for tuners pushing the VR38DETT. Paired with MoTeC safeties, it can catch a problem before it turns into an expensive repair. This kit wires a pressure sensor into a MoTeC-equipped R35 GT-R using the factory power steering connector.
Features
- Harness plugs into the GT-R's OEM power steering connector
- Other end fits most Packard-connector pressure sensors (TRP, AEM, MoTeC and others)
- Billet aluminum coolant hose adapter installs between the two ends of the most forward coolant hose; the sensor threads into it
- Optional TRP 150 PSIg pressure sensor
Included
- Coolant pressure harness
- Billet aluminum coolant hose adapter
- TRP 150 PSIg pressure sensor (when selected)
Install notes
- Use a PTFE-based thread tape (such as Jaco ThreadPro) on threaded pressure sensors
Construction
- TXL wire with XLPE insulation: heat, flame, gasoline, grease and acid resistant, rated from -40°F to 257°F
